Sign in with ChatGPT apps: which ones can use your plan?

Some partners can use your ChatGPT plan; others only identify you. Find the official groups, Lovable's coming-soon label and the checks to make before you connect.

Some Sign in with ChatGPT apps can spend your plan; others only log you in. Lovable appears in OpenAI's directory, but it's marked coming soon.

A ChatGPT button doesn't mean your subscription pays for everything behind it. We checked this list against the official partner directory on September 30, 2026. It covers the named open source integrations, commercial plan partners and sign-in-only services.

These are OpenAI's listings, not the results of testing every app, release and account combination. Use the category to find a candidate, then check the app's own connection flow.

Sign in with ChatGPT apps that can use your plan

Plan sharing lets eligible requests draw on your subscription's ChatGPT Work and Codex allowance. You approve it separately from identity sign-in. Connecting another app doesn't add capacity.

OpenAI lists Plus and Pro as eligible plans and says all users can connect supported open source tools. A connection doesn't promise a Free account paid inference capacity. Apps may also have subscription requirements of their own.

Open source tools you can connect

OpenAI groups these four projects together. The links go to their repositories so you can check installation instructions and releases before changing your setup.

OpenCode	An open source coding agent; check the installed version and the provider connection it actually offers.
OpenClaw	An assistant running on your own devices and connected chat channels; ChatGPT is one model connection, not permission to every connected service.
Pi by Earendil	An agent toolkit with an interactive coding CLI; its September 29 release explicitly added the ChatGPT subscription flow.
T3	T3 Code controls agents through mobile, web and desktop interfaces; check which underlying agent and account your setup uses.

Pi's v0.99.0 release notes give you a specific instruction: use /login openai to connect a ChatGPT subscription through the OpenAI provider. They also rename the inherited OpenAI Codex provider to OpenAI Codex (legacy). Watch that label if you're following an older tutorial.

For the other projects, check the installed version against the current instructions before replacing working credentials. The code or connection shown in a launch announcement may differ from the release on your machine.

Commercial apps listed for plan usage

These commercial names appear in OpenAI's plan usage group without a coming-soon label. We're following the directory's categories here; Hermes Agent and Kilo Code also have open source software.

Hermes Agent	Nous Research's agent with tools, skills and memory; OpenAI links its commercial partner entry to the Nous Portal.
Vorflux	A software engineering automation product; listed in the commercial plan usage group.
Amp	A coding agent and development environment; its quickstart explicitly offers an optional ChatGPT Plus or Pro connection for OpenAI models.
Dactyl	Builds native mobile apps from descriptions; its own FAQ currently says ChatGPT plan sharing is available with Pro.
Kilo Code	A coding agent whose launch post describes using ChatGPT plans across editor extensions, CLI, cloud agents, code reviews and mobile.
Warp	A development platform with a terminal and coding agents; listed for ChatGPT plan usage.
Conductor	Runs coding agents in workspaces; its launch instructions put the connection in Settings > Agents > Codex.
Devin	Cognition's software engineering agent; listed for ChatGPT plan usage.
Notion	An AI workspace; OpenAI places it in the plan usage group rather than the sign-in-only group.
Vercel	A platform for building and shipping applications; listed for ChatGPT plan usage.

Dactyl's page says Plus and Business can sign in but cannot yet share their plan there. OpenAI's general guidance says eligible Plus and Pro users can share plan usage, and we couldn't confirm why the statements differ. Follow the eligibility shown in Dactyl's connection flow rather than treating a directory row as the final word.

In Kilo, pay attention to the selected payment route. The app offers models and services beyond this ChatGPT connection. Supporting another provider doesn't make that provider billable to your OpenAI subscription.

Lovable is on the list, with a coming-soon label

OpenAI includes Lovable's login page in the plan usage group with an explicit coming-soon label. We haven't confirmed general availability or a launch date. Keep it on your watch list rather than relying on it today.

That label tells you more than a partner total. An app can be named in the directory before the connection is ready for you to use.

Airtable, Canva and these apps support login only

These services sit in OpenAI's sign-in-only group. Their ChatGPT button identifies you; it doesn't fund their AI tools from your plan.

OpenAI's identity help page also names OpenAI Academy and ChatGPT Sites as places where identity sign-in is available. Those belong in the login picture too. They aren't extra third-party plan-sharing partners to add to the table above.

Check the payment route before your first task

Start with the directory's category, then read the app's instructions and confirm availability for your account and subscription. If you already have an app account, find its account-linking option. Don't assume every sign-in method leads to the same account.

Review identity and plan usage separately during authorization. Identity shares your name, email address and profile picture; plan permission lets eligible requests consume your allowance. Neither alone gives the app your ChatGPT conversations or memories, so review any other permissions on their own terms.

Once connected, set an app cap in ChatGPT's Settings > Usage and try a small task before a long agent assignment. The weekly cap limits shared capacity; adding several apps won't multiply what your plan includes. The app may still charge separately for its service.

Simon Willison's DevDay live blog welcomed spending an existing subscription in another tool. That's the appeal: you can pick a workflow you like and bring the plan you already pay for. The categories and availability labels tell you which choices you can actually use.

Another connection for OpenCode and Kilo Code

OpenCode and Kilo Code also support AI Pass login, according to the AI Pass agent tools documentation:

Use the command for your tool. AI Pass lets you pay for Claude, GPT, Gemini and other providers from one wallet, without a subscription; it also covers images and video. You spend your AI Pass balance rather than your ChatGPT allowance, through a separate provider connection.

AI Pass is independent of OpenAI.

FAQ

Which apps can use my ChatGPT plan?

OpenAI lists OpenCode, OpenClaw, Pi, T3 and the commercial partners above. Check each app's account requirements and current release before connecting.

Does Canva support ChatGPT plan sharing?

It is currently listed for sign-in only. Its ChatGPT login doesn't give Canva's AI tools access to your plan allowance.

Can I use my ChatGPT subscription in Lovable today?

The official directory marks Lovable as coming soon. Check its connection flow before relying on ChatGPT plan usage there.

Can ChatGPT pay for Claude inside a partner app?

No. Plan sharing covers eligible OpenAI requests. Another provider needs the app's separate supported payment route.
